DAAR members are invited to participate in the Leesburg or Middleburg Cherry Blossom Walk to fight Breast Cancer on October 10th. YES! Loudoun is hosting the Babe Ruth Worlds Series for 13-14 yr. olds. DAAR members have generously stepped up to the plate (no pun intended) and volunteered to help out with this great event in the past, and we anticipate this happening again.
DAAR Day at the World Series will be Monday, August 23rd. We will be assisting during two games, the 4:00 pm game will feature the Loudoun Team, and the 8:00 pm game will feature the Virginia Team, both of whom are invited since Loudoun is the host.

Jonathan Bunn, Century 21 Redwood in Ashburn has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the 2010 Board of Directors. He will serve until the elections in the fall, and will be eligible to run for a full term. Jonathan is a dedicated Loudouner, and DAAR member. Most recently Jon served on the Lockbox Task Force. Chairman of the Board, Tom Donegan said. "The members of that committee worked so hard and did such an incredible job that I just wanted to appoint someone from that group. Jon was just what we were looking for."

The DAAR Board of Directors approved the appointment of the 2010 Nominating Committee to fill terms on the Board. Kelly Gaitten, Chair, Michele Stash, Nancy Yahner, Barry Allbright, Linda Sonnhalter, Beckwith Bolle, and Dennis Bruce have all agreed to serve and will be seeking qualified candidates for 3 year terms on the Board of Directors.
If you are interested, or know of a qualified candidate, please contact a member of the committee. The committee will begin meeting the first week in August.
HUD has formalized a RESPA rule regarding payments from home warranty companies (HWC). Specifically, the rule provides:
1. A payment by an HWC for marketing services performed by real estate brokers or agents on behalf of the HWC that are directed to particular homebuyers or sellers is an illegal kickback for a referral under section 8;
